Willie Logan (Loganair) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Willie Logan (Loganair)
William "Willie" Logan (1913–1966) was a Scottish construction engineer who contributed to many important infrastructure projects in Scotland during the 1950s and 1960s, primarily road networks and Hydroelectric schemes. Although his family background (the business was started by his father, Duncan Logan) was based in Muir of Ord, he was educated at Dingwall Academy, and lived, in Dingwall, in a house built to his own designs called Parklea, which was also the name of his wife Helen Dunbars previous family home in Dingwall town centre. To facilitate easier travel to projects throughout the country, in 1962 he created his own air taxi, which later became Loganair. He was killed whilst piloting his own aircraft on the landing approach to Inverness Airport, crashing into Dunain Hill, Inverness, in foggy conditions. He is buried in Fodderty Cemetery, near Strathpeffer—the gravestone is in the shape of a section of the Tay Road Bridge. ==Selected Construction Projects==
